Mitch has been playing drums since he was 18 years old, beginning his journey in a Birmingham band called Black Stabbath. After a few years performing and touring with the band, he went on to work with some of the UK’s best-known artists, including Birmingham reggae star Bitty McLean. Mitch also appeared on Top of the Pops and later toured with bands such as UB40 and Simply Red, building years of professional live performance experience across the UK and Europe.

After starting a family, Mitch decided to focus on passing his knowledge and experience on to others through teaching. For the past 35 years, he has been teaching students of all ages and abilities in schools across Birmingham as well as from his own fully equipped home studio.

 

Over the years, he has helped his students develop confidence, improve their skills, and successfully achieve high-grade examination results, including Grade 8 in drums.
